Benchmark High-Efficiency MWT Solar Modules

Now, the production capacity of high-efficiency MWT solar cells and modules are add up to 2.8GW , forming a complete industry chain of high-efficiency MWT solar modules.
At this Intersolar Europe exhibition, Sunport Power will also launch the latest product based on flexible technology and back contact design- known as SPP Flex1.0, a major leap-forward in high efficiency MWT back contact products. Sunport Power Flex1.0 perfectly combines with light weight and flexibility, which greatly expands the product application field.
MWT solar modules can be benefited by lower power degradation, longer lifetime (30 years) and higher rated power .Eg. Suppose the EPC cost is 0.70 USD/W and the feed-in tariff is 0.12 USD/kWh, the ROI using MWT modules should will be 14.49% higher than that using conventional modules. EPC cost decreases about 0.003 USD/W while using one higher power grade (5W) modules. MWT module is usually 20-25W higher than conventional module, which means EPC cost can decrease about 0.012 USD/W.

Nanjing Sunport Power Ltd. (“Sunport”) , a leading manufacturer with MWT core technology, introduced a new flexible solar module today, Flex 1.0 series, a flexible module integrated with MWT Back Contact technology. This product is a combination and optimization of thin film and silicon modules. It’s lighter, thinner, as flexible as any flexible products. What’s more, the module efficiency is the same as any mono crystalline silicon modules. The product will be formally released to market in Q1, 2019.
Nanjing Sunport Power Ltd. (“Sunport”) , a leading manufacturer with MWT core technology, announced today that Dr. Martin Green has formally joined Sunport as the Chief Scientist.
Born in 1948, Dr. Martin Green is Scientia Professor at the University of New South Wales, Sydney and Director of the Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics. His contributions to photovoltaics are well known and include holding the record for silicon solar cell efficiency for 30 of the last 34 years, described as one of the “Top Ten” Milestones in the history of solar photovoltaics.
Major international awards include the 1999 Australia Prize, the 2002 Right Livelihood Award, also known as the Alternative Nobel Prize, the 2007 SolarWorld Einstein Award and the 2016 Ian Wark Medal from the Australian Academy of Science.
Professor Green said, in the best efforts, he will lead Sunport to continuous R&D, optimize technological advantages, and improve products’ reliability and cost-effectiveness with a view to boost the rapid development of the industry.
Nanjing Sunport Power Ltd. (“Sunport”) , a leading manufacturer with MWT core technology, announced that they commissioned their brand-new facility for the manufacturing of back-contact PV modules. This factory will produce an annual 3.3 million solar panels yielding a combined power supply of 1.3 GW per annum.
Sunport’s CEO Dr.Zhang said, “Back-contact modules come with substantial benefits. Thanks to our Eurotron production line that was already in operation, my clients already experience these advantages first-hand. Back-contact solar panels avoid capacity losses associated with shade and resistance in traditional panels. This means our clients generate more energy per square metre.”
Eurotron, member of Eurogroep, is a global leader in equipment for manufacturing of back-contact PV modules. Established in the Netherlands in 2005, Eurotron develops equipment for the back-contact manufacturing process in close cooperation with internationally operating tier-one clients.
